PESA and GHP Host Pemex’s CEO at OTC Breakfast

DSC_0640Carlos Alberto Treviño Medina, CEO, Pemex, spoke at a breakfast hosted by the PESA Mexico Task Force and Greater Houston Partnership on May 2 during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).

Medina, who assumed the CEO position in February, discussed Pemex’s Houston outreach as the company evolves into a global independent energy company following the end of a 75-year, state-run monopoly in 2013. He outlined the continuation of a five-year plan to stabilize Pemex’s finances through production partnerships, including development agreements that will establish exploration and extraction in the deep waters off the southern Gulf coast of Mexico.

Hugo Espinosa, OFS Sales Director – Latin America, Baker Hughes, a GE company, introduced Salvador Escobedo, President and CEO, Pemex Procurement International (PPI), who outlined PPI’s role in modernizing the Mexican energy sector.
